KJDots, thank you for sharing your app, it sounds like a great tool. Especially over the summer! Can you share a link to it where users can get more information?

Hi guys,
If you're looking for ways to use new media to connect with young learners, why not make your own app? At Quipper (www.quipper.com), a London-based technology company, we have created a platform that allows anyone to create an e-learning app for free. We are building an online community based around e-learning, on iPhone, Facebook and Android. This could be a great way to connect with your students. If you are interested in discussing next steps, I'd be delighted to talk to you. I can be reached at james.wright@quipper.com.
All the best,
James.

Not sure if people are familiar with these, but I am a big fan of the apps by Mobile Education Store. Really all of them, but the ones I use all the time are Sentence Builder, Language Builder, Speech Journal and Conversation Builder. You can see the various apps here:

Wonderful for people in my role (school speech-language pathologist) but I think they would also be ideal for ELL teachers, Special Ed teachers and for small group language arts lessons in the classroom. Not free, but VERY reasonably priced and kids really enjoy these activities. There is a new one coming soon, called Preposition Builder that is going to be really great for special ed, ELL and regular ed, too.
Worth checking out!
