Re: Literature Circles

I use Lit Circles for Historical Fiction. I spread out a variety of titles, at different levels,  grouped by periods in American history and let students (7th/8th graders) self-select whatever book they wish. Once they have chosen a book to read, I create lit circles that are focused on specific periods. Students read and analyze their own novels, then come together to research the historical background behind their books. The final product each group creates is a "Museum Box" in which the top cubes allow for individual responses and the bottom cubes for shared research.

Now that's a good idea! AND I'm going to share it with a couple of people I know. Thanks again
