Your new students will be equally as excited to meet you as you will be to meet them. This is your time to let them know where your heart and passion stands. You know this is a challenging job and that you will have to work hard. If you can connect with your students and teach to their hearts, the learning environment will be 'safe'. They will trust you and know that you are meeting them where they are (which is all over the map!).

Have FUN and be organized.

Lastly, find a friend at school, someone who will mentor you every step of the way. You will find a life long relationship with this person and in no time will be asked to mentor new teachers yourself.

Best of luck! Petersona
